Specialty Coffees

Our goal is to cultivate and process the highest quality coffees that we can achieve. Partly because it increases the income of each participating producer considerably. But also because we are proud of what we do and we simply love a great cup of coffee.

As an organization, we've started preparing Specialty Coffees in 2018. However, many of our Cafesmo members have been working with roasters and Specialty preparation for much longer. Some, like Don Rosalío, who you can see in this video, have been active in coffee cultivation for more than five decades. He works with a select group of roasters since 2012 and generously shares his knowledge with newer, younger members of Cafesmo.

We provide workshops for new and existing producers to help them improve their harvest and also their post-harvest processes. We also work actively to connect our producers to roasters who are interested in direct, long lasting relationships.
