Girl Power

We’re the women of Cafesmo and we’re proud of what we do. Some of us are still very young, while others are beyond any formal retirement age…

However, all 54 of us were determined to form this group and we work hand in hand to propose our coffees internationally.

Many of us are on our own. Our spouses have died, or they have traveled to the United States; some of them decades ago, in search of a better life, and they never returned. But many of us are happily married and some of us work together with our husbands, or with our siblings or children. Nobody – whether a man or a woman - is able to run a farm alone, at least not during the picking season.  

So, we’ve decided to form this women’s group because together, we can offer more volume and also more varieties, than each of us on her own. On top of that, we can achieve much more when we pool and merge everyone’s unique talents, knowhow, and experiences. But most importantly, as a group we feel mutually supported and are able to achieve more traction and visibility.

Our farms are Rain Forest Alliance certified.

Because each of us cultivates and processes their own coffees, you can work with us individually. But we are also happy to propose blends that we have put together between us.
